Kerry Ingredients & Flavours Combats Hunger during 2011 Holiday Season
Beloit, Wis. (December 20, 2011) – Kerry Ingredients & Flavours proudly donated $33,000 and thousands of pounds of food to Stateline area food pantries during the 2011 holiday season.
The donations – made to Caritas, ECHO Food Bank, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Rock River Valley Food Pantry and Beloit Meals on Wheels – respond to increased demand put on local food pantries by families facing financial difficulties. Second Harvest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger through partnerships with local food pantries like ECHO, served 83% more residents through food donations in 2010 compared to 2006.
